We serve as a comprehensive resource center for unhoused and low-income individuals seeking stability and hope.

Mirrors is centered on mental health and personalized support. Clients begin with a referral, complete a simple intake, and work with case managers to create clear, achievable goals. Participants attend three days a week, engaging in counseling, life skills training, literacy, financial education, and job support while working closely with experienced counselors and trainers.

Our program was founded in 2002 by Ms. Naomi Mims with a vision to uplift disadvantaged and disabled residents of Springfield through education and career training. Her mission centered on building self-sufficiency and long-term job security. Within just five months, thirteen individuals ranging in age from 16 to 78 were successfully trained and employed, setting the foundation for lasting community impact.
Today, our vision continues to grow under the leadership of her daughter, Deshun Mims Nelson, who carries the mission forward while expanding its reach and services. Our program now operates as a comprehensive day program serving unhoused and low-income individuals.
Every aspect of our program is voluntary, person-centered, and trauma-informed. This ensures that individuals are met with compassion, respect, and support that align with their personal experiences and goals. Clients are supported through a wide range of structured and meaningful services, including:
